How To Install SNAP CAMERA After The Shutdown! (2023)

Snap Camera was taken offline this week, so in this video, I show you how to install Snap Camera even after the shutdown.

1. Download the Snap Camera v1.21.0 installer (Snapchat took down the official download, so you’ll have to source this yourself - see DOWLOADS further down 👇👇)

If it doesn’t match the following string, DO NOT INSTALL IT. You have the wrong version.

For those who have trouble and followed all the steps correctly but still are not seeing filters pop up - make sure snap camera is CLOSED!! Ctrl Alt Delete if you have to get the program to stop running. I moved the original Snap Camera.exe file onto a different hard drive just in case I need it later on, but I moved it out of the folder ENTIRELY and put the patched Snap Camera.exe in its place. It runs perfect now!

Great nutty thanks so much!, I recently had to reinstall SnapCam in a new hardware setup for Streaming using all your steps in your video again, and it comes up that I did not have my Favorites saved/backed up! Thank god I had my old disk to get them back and import settings file so easy and have them back! for those who don't know, find below file you have to edit to extract your favorites and import into a new installation file, shortcuts not allowed, it crashes when importing inside file manually.

Also old Cache lens from old setup must to be available to import, copy to new setup:

Thank you so much! I am very self conscious about my looks and I have like 2 filters in snapcam I loved using and I recently bought a new pc and thought if i saved the folder and everything I would still be able to use the lens even though nothing popped up it still worked after the shut down. but when I built the PC and got things set up I wasn't able to use my saved lenses and thought I wouldn't be able to face cam anymore. this just made my whole day!

it didn't work at first for me, so i used task manager to end task of snapcamera then restarted it and it now works. thanks for the video.

and if you're having issues replacing the file, run your task manager (ctrl+shift+esc), click the dropdown for background files, go to snap camera and click end task. it might be running on the background. Should be fine

still works. the reason lots of not so smart people think it doesnt work is because they still had the non-working one running in background after closing it. you have to close it in your CNTRLALTDEL menu. the tutorial messed up by making you launch the wrong one first, which keeps a connection in the background to the wrong server. make sure you fully close it or restart your machine.

OMG I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK- So do all the steps THEN DELETE THE ORIGIONAL FILE after patching it and moving the new patched file to the folder. IF your computer doesnt let you then restart your computer and delete the original THEN DOUBLE CLICK THE NEW PATCHED FILE THAT OPENS THE APP WITH THE FILTERS i was trying to open the older version with the original file that's why it wouldn't work

Omg I can't believe this worked!!! I did have some troubles in the beginning but ended up getting it to run properly. If you've done everything properly and it still won't work try uninstalling and reinstalling! Don't worry if the download says 1.20 when you're installing it, as long as the output is the same it will be the correct program. ❤
