The devil/human hybrids in Chainsaw Man have some of the best designs ever. They're never too complicated, but parts of their detail are give the opportunity to show off in different situations based on movement and positioning, while certain key focal points stay the same throughout. Chainsaw, Katana and especially Bomb are top-notch humanoid monster designs.

Man this anime is beautiful. When Aki fights he actually sounds somewhat scared and still fights so well and I think that's so realistic, every move and motion feels so important

This reminds me a lot of when in Attack on Titan, Female Titan appeared, suddenly they are not just mindless monsters, but much worse, an organized group of people who possess the powers of monsters and they're aimed at ambushing the professional monster hunters, taking them out in a chillingly methodical, cold and efficient manner.
We thought that because the hero had the power of a monster and was protected by professionals that they were out of danger?
