After seeing the whole video, I was perhaps a little harsh...of course nobody could ever match John's fantastic voice but Gary did a good job on this song, and he does greatly resemble John; and he actually IS a gorgeous man...Even his personality is great. Good for you Gary...you sang this a LOT better than I ever could.

Holy shit this gave me that uncanny valley sort of feeling. I thought something was off but my brain couldn’t tell what. I was thinking where are the other 3, why is it so high quality and John looks kinda bigger then normal but it looks so much like him that I didn’t figure it out for a while

It's in a different key ( The Beatles played it in D and this is in C) but a convincing performance nonetheless. I can't remember if he won the show with this entry, but he should have if he didn't, as he's nailed John's look if not his musical ability to a T. He deserved to get to the Star In Their Eyes Finals - or Champions Of Champions on the back of this performance. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and for uploading.
