Solar Eclipse Of June 2020: When, Where, And How To Watch?

An annular solar eclipse will take place on June 21, 2020. Annular solar eclipses occur when the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun but it isn't big enough to cover the solar disk.

The timings of the June 21 solar eclipse will be 09:17 IST (03:47 UTC) to 15:04 IST (09:34 UTC). The greatest eclipse will occur at 06:40 GMT (12:10 IST) and it will last for 39 seconds. It will be seen from mid-Africa, across the Middle East, northern India, and south-east Asia. The partial eclipse will be visible over western Africa, the Middle East, and south and east Asia.

How to watch the solar eclipse: Do not watch the eclipse with the naked eye as it can permanently damage your eyes. Use proper eclipse glasses to watch the eclipse. If you are using a telescope, make sure you watch the eclipse through a solar filter. Another way to watch the eclipse is to use a pinhole projection.

1.I have polarised dark sunglasses, will they be enough?
