What will happen if Mindanao Separates from Philippines

The latest issue that the Philippines is facing is Mindanao's separation from the country. It means they will go independent. Although the majority of the people in the country didn't agree with this, some people still want it to happen, like the former president Rodrigo Duterte.

What do you think will happen if Mindanao separates from the Philippines and builds its own government? Well, in this short documentary, we discussed the possibilities just in case Mindanao becomes an independent region and fully becomes a new country.

Prior to Spanish colonial era, there were already kingdoms in Mindanao like Butuan and Sultanate of Sulu.

Luzon and Visayas will have a hard time if Mindanao separate. You did not did enough research. For the longest time Mindanao has been greatly ignored by government funding and infrastructure projects. If we separate there wont be much changes in the governing and allocation of resources bu Luzon but they will definitely feel the lost of income provided by Mindanao. Luzon developed by stepping over and breaking the backs of the people from Mindanao.

Philippines was established by the colonizers, If we look back in precolonial era. Mindanao had it's own independent which govern by sultanate. The same in Visayas and Luzon which ruled and governed by Raja's and Datu's. Mindanao was never invaded and conquered by the Spanish until Americans and Japanese came. Until now I believe there are decendants of sultanate in Mindanao wanted to be seperate in National it because of the long history of corruption in the National government.

Can you believe this, there's a town that was named after a living person because they are the ruling clan, and numerous towns in their provinces are named after their clansmen as well. Clan fighting will be more prevalent than ever.
