The « spring » background from Komitas in the introductory is done beautifully.

I discovered the duduk through its use in the Avatar the Last Airbender score rather than through any personal or cultural connection, and I just have to say your tutorials are both beautifully produced and clear for someone without any of that context.

Easily earned a like and a comment. Thank you.

I've had this instrument for a long time, but I got discouraged because I made the mistake of trying to discover this instrument on my own. Watching your videos, I realized that I was missing the very simple things, the basics... thank you a thousand times over for giving me back the desire to play this instrument...

I live in Bulgaria, not too far from Turkey. I can't remember exactly how I came to hear Duduk music firstly but I found a great fondness in hearing it. I like often to listen to Duduk music but now I feel it's the right time to learn to play it myself. The time and place is right and the spirit is right. I used to play guitar, badly, but the thought of creating music on the Duduk of my own thoughts feels nice.

The first song on the background is Komitas - Garun e (it’s spring). Komitas was a Turkey-born Armenian. Amazing Artist!

I am a Native American flute player, and have only recently discovered the Duduk. I suspect it is a great deal harder to play than the NAF, but I am seriously considering getting one, as I love the sound so much! your videos have sparked my interest even more, so thank you for these.

Thank you for sharing. To be honest your 3 lessons I’ve seen on YouTube were the best basic learning I have seen on YouTube. I just bought my first duduk and began to learn how to play duduk as I have done with violin and Santoor(an Iranian instrument).
I know this post is few years old but hoping you are doing well.
Thank you again and hope to see you again soon with new lessons.
Thanks👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you very much for these great videos, my Duduk arrived today and I was able to start playing lovely music in 15mins due to watching all these in advance, such a great overview. I cannot recommend this instrument enough to people it’s easy to learn the basics and get going and then spend the rest of your life mastering and experimenting:) all the best and love from England ❤

Hello from Iran, Im living in China and I can play the piano, electric guitar, clarinet,Saxophone and a bit of drum, these years because Im far away from my motherland Im more into our culture, the Duduk or Balaban is one of the Important instruments in Azeri, Armenian, Turkish, Kurdish and it’s very deeply linked to our culture and I provide one and I tried to play and I could play the scale and a simple melody that I heard but it was just a very basic, Im happy to see you, thank you, hope I can learn something here

The Duduk instrument was calling me for a while when finally months ago I took the decision to undertake the marvellous and enlightening journey of studying this wonderful instrument. I looked online and I found Canberk's videos. His way of speaking, and teaching, the way he conveys the knowledge embedded with a deep sense of respect and spirituality for music and for the Duduk itself inspired me deeply. He truly transmits everything beautiful and profound about the Duduk and its ancient traditions.
I've asked him for advice through email, about which instrument should I have bought and other advice, and he has always been supportive, guiding me unconditionally even before starting my study. This is the kind of attitude that is the distinction of every great master and great human being.
Now that I have my first Duduk, thanks even to him, I'm deeply grateful for his support and the profound love for Art and Music that he's capable to convey. I truly recommend him to everyone who wants to study Duduk. 🙏
