So beautiful.. there is a special cadence that is missed when you listen to recordings..

We would learn so quickly if we could listen to the two of you just having friendly conversation like you just did..

The Irish language is beautiful.. full of life and expression.. it is a privilege just to listen.. there is music and joy in it.. thank you so very much.. loved it.,

That is really awesome Davey! I have been working on learning the language for a while now, and I really enjoy it, but wow, it's difficult! I'll save this one until I can memorize it.

I moved out to Connemara nearly 2 years ago and it's amazing when you walk into a shop and everyone speaking Irish like it's nothing. Unfortunately I've not picked it up yet.

I must admit I never realised that the Irish language was so vastly different to English. Thank you Davy for drawing attention this culture. I'm not even remotely connected to either culture but just super intrigued in the rich Irish history. Keep up the great work!

I was exempt from irish in 3rd class, obviously during throughout primary and secondary school I thought it was great because I got less homework but now I've come to realise I missed out on one of the most beautiful aspects of our country, I've considered going to adult classes to learn it

I live in Massachusetts, our previous mayor of Boston was Marty Walsh who was the son of Irish immigrants from Connemara. Their first language was Irish. He grew up speaking it at home.

"Taim ag flyáil a mhac ban" - love that phrase. 😂 (I would probably have translated it a bit differently, but I 'm not fluent.)

That is fantastic. I am Scottish and i need to learn Gaidhlig.

It would be good if you could do a video where you have Gaels from both countries speaking their respective language and find out how similar they are.

I'm sorry this conversation was way too polite. Of course, when my grandmother said anything to me in Irish, she was screaming at me! 😅

I’d like to know if the indigenous Irish language is being reintroduced in Ireland’s schools

Lol I'm learning Gaeilge via duolingo (for the last 7 or 8 years), so is my ma, and every night after I leave hers we call, "Slán" "Slán go fóill" "Oíche mhaith" and "Codladh sámh agus Dia dhaoibh" lol
