Festool Track Saw Calibration Tip

Sedge walks us through calibrating your track saw to your guide rail. Sedge also says to ensure your saw is unplugged or without batteries when calibrating. Before calibrating if your saw has started cutting differently, there are other steps to try. Make sure you clean your blade and, in some cases, replace your blade.

This is an imperative tutorial. Subscribed. Just learned so much. Now I understand why my 75 wasn’t making cuts the way I’d hoped it would

This is the best video you’ve done yet, thanks! Would love to see one on how to quickly set blade exactly 90 degrees to bottom plate of saw. I can do it but I’m sure there’s an easier way.

Wow that is awesome...so I just purchased a Recon Track Saw TS 75 EQ-F-Plus but have a Makita Track saw and Makita tracks 118" & 55". Lucky for me this video showed up in my feed on the same day. With any luck I should be able to Calibrate it to the Makita Tracks and be all setup to rock and roll.

The reason I decided on Festool for my retirement hobby workshop was the vast amount of quality education.

Professor Sedge’s presentations have confirmed my decision time and time again.

About 30 years ago I was trained in orthopaedic surgery - plates, pins, screws, bolts etc by the Swiss Synthes AO system.

It was an intensive 5 day course, mornings were practical classes, afternoon were theory, including metallurgy and physics.

I then realised that high performance results with very high quality tools also required high quality training and education.

Comparison videos on Festool V Makita, for example, ignores this essential factor. These sort of videos are meaningful for an experienced and expert woodworker, but are misleading for us newbies.

Most people do not understand the focus on education by Festool.

I based my very successful practice by educating clients, who were hungry to get information and knowledge.

This devotion to education helps explain the fanatical client loyalty to Festool.

Oh my Good Lord!!!! Thank you so I dropped my ts55feq a bit ago and I tried to align the bottom plate even which of course is wrong! It was cutting funky! Now I'm going to fix it and align my saw and rails and my business partners saw and rails all the same!!! Thank you!!!!

Great video Sedge... I just bought my first Festool track saw recently (TS 55 FEQ) and I'm learning a lot from you about them. I appreciate all you have done for us to have less frustration woodworking with tools. Have a great one 👍🏻👊🏻

Great instruction. I have three rails and have never calibrated my saw but as soon as I finish typing this I’m going to my shop to do it. Thanks so much!

Seen thousands of vids about tracksaws, but this was new to me. 👏👍
Got to figure out now if this is possible with my Bosch tracksaw.

Many thanks for this video.

What else did we learn? Reading the manual is not as bad as many of us think 😂😂😂😂

Ok i didn't know that you could actually adjust that with your saw! Massive save for me cause i notice my saw isn't cutting as well as it should be. But been using it at work for 7 years! so good effort!
