I love everything you said. Something I've found when it comes to grip and forearm exercises is that those cat curls (as you called them lol) and other wrist curls may not be as specific to grip in the short term but can skyrocket your grip in the long term due to adding mass on the forearm flexors which are crucial for high grip potential. I am a sport science student and we recently run an analysis trying to find correlations between forearm circumference and grip strength. There was a very strong correlation (r near .9). I think that also confirmed what I was already thinking. Maybe they could be utilized in a hypertrophy cycle. Just trying to give you more ideas! Love the video

Hi @BlackBearBarbell, I also try to focus on weighted chin ups and I would love to do deadlifts as well.
Should I then do primary deadlift then weighted chin up and on 2nd day the opposite, same as squat. Or is it too much for back muscles to have proper results and I should focus on one or other?

im a 6ft8 tall lad and my deadlift is close to horizontal lmao bec of my long as legs. Ive been doing trap bar deadlifts bec the left part of my lowerback was getting slightly painfull when deadlifting. Whenever i go heavy and i think its bec of the straps i feel like i cannot get enough tension, what do you suggest i do to get my body tight bec thats the reason i start using my lowerback. whenever i dont use straps like 10kgs lighter and make my arms long when i stand and brace and then descend to grab the bar, thats when i have 0 issues at all and the weight flies through the roof. like i have the strength to deadlift 225kg but i simply cannot get tight when using straps, the only reason i start using straps is bec my grip starts lacking.
