Imprecise information to get the enciphered data "close enough" for Alice to read it is a fascinating approach, but I always have this gnawing thought at the back of my mind that these kinds of encryption must have a statistical attack that also gets you close enough. Of course, that's the same bit in the back of my head that says there must be a counter example to the four-color theorem and that surely I can write a short bit of code that computes Ramsey(6, 6) in an afternoon.
