The CDC is investigating a severe E. coli outbreak, spanning nearly a dozen states linked to McDonald’s popular Quarter Pounder hamburgers. The outbreak has sickened nearly 50 people and has caused at least one death in Colorado. NBC’s Maggie Vespa reports for TODAY as McDonald's president, Joe Erlinger, gives his first interview since the outbreak.

If the outrageous prices didn't stop people from going, neither will this.

Not just McDonalds, all these fast food places are nasty.
I was at a Chipotle the other day and the service was terrible, the rice and chicken were hard and stale and must've been sitting in those metal containers for hours.
I'm done eating at these fast food places.

I ate at McDonald's in Montreal back in August 2024 and vomited a day later. NEVER! NEVER! AGAIN!!!

The sliced onions, which are suspected of being tainted with E. coli, were not obtained directly from individual McDonald's restaurants; rather, they were delivered from a central distribution center that supplies several restaurants; in other words, the problem lies with the onions provided by the distribution center rather than any possible improper handling at the restaurant level.

Who cares what the president of McDonald’s says, of course he will say it is safe to eat now and they are always working on safety. Have the CDC say it is OK to eat at McDonald’s.

Used to work for them. They DO take care of things quickly when they find out, but there is a difference between being reactive and being proactive.

I wouldn't eat at McDonald's if you paid me! If you knew all the hundreds of Chemicals that go into their food you would never touch it again.
