First Gnu/Linux Distribution - Slackware 1.01 with twm

Slackware 1.01 was released in 1993 as a first gnu/linux distribution running on kernel 0.99. I will be taking a look at its twm desktop environment and applications it came with.

TWM is not a desktop environment, it's just a window manager, but what you're seeing as the included applications are mostly the X utilities, most, if not all of them, use Xaw, as Motif was a commercial thing, and GTK and Qt hadn't been invented at the time.
