Let's not forget why the Mets are not going to the postseason: for the first 4 months of the year, the Mets team offense was consistently one of the bottom 3 in all of baseball. What made the team look competitive for the first 3 months was other-worldly starting pitching from Jake, Walker and Stroman and a very solid bullpen and that unhittable pitching went away, the Mets didn't have a chance....I'm all for bringing in a new manager, but until an MLB manager can swing a bat for the players, I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of players that simply did not show up for the first 4 months of the season: Lindor, McCann, McNeil, Conforto, and Dom.

Why are we blaming Rojas for anything on the hitters side? Kill him or not for the pitching stunts but sandys the one that controls the lineup decisions

The starting pitching helped the Mets through half of the season with an inconsistent lineup. Once the starting pitching went south with the pen it all went down like a blimp. The lineup was really the same mess through the year. I never really seen a lineup do so poorly in a long long time. I didn't care for Rojas boneheaded managing at times but the players are more to blame here, That all being said, Rojas had to go. I think Billy Beane would do a better job than Sandy for sure, but I really want Theo to run the show.
If we luck out and get Theo? this will be a complete culture change with someone with a fantastic track record. This lineup needs to be broken up, some players you can't move but you can replace with better bats. Degrom was a big loss, even the starting pitching felt that.
