Christmas in Antalya Turkey / Turkiye is alive and well. Turkey is a secular country, and all religions are free to practice in Turkey. Turkey respects the millions of foreigner's beliefs and does it's best to make them feel welcomed. The city of Antalya is a bustling beach city of 2,500,000, which is a popular tourist destination, as well as a year-round favorite Expat location. The Expats live in the Antalya suburb city of Lara Beach that offers a great quality of life, which also includes a beach and promenade. The average US Retiree on Social Security receives $1,650 a month, and a couple on Social Security receives over $2,750 a month. These two expats spend around $900.00 a month not including housing. A US Expat living on Social Security can expect a great standard of living in Turkey when compared to the living costs in the US.

Despite inflation Turkey is still a great value for Expats with income from abroad, the exchange rate when this vide was made was 18.65 Turkish Lira to the US Dollar.

Do you want to live abroad as an Expat? Are you looking for affordable and viable options? We are exploring the world to see what it's like to live in a country, and also discover if Residency is an option.

We began our retirement in March of 2020 with the intent to travel the world, spending 1-3 months in a country or location. We want to see what it's like to live there and not simply visit, and we want to share these experiences and the costs with whoever wishes to follow along.

they don't call it christmas though - its actually "new year" celebrations . basically the same as the Christmas holiday season in america, but without jesus and the religious christian stuff. 25th december itself isnt a holiday in turkey - you still to go tp work that day. you also find this similar sort of thing in indonesia (muslim country) and thailand (buddhist country) where they have adopted american christmas season celebrations

That's because St. Nicholas or Santa Claus is from Antalya, Turkiye. If he's from Greece, I believe the santa's attire will be in blue and white color XD
