I'm Italian and when I was very beginner at English I used to make almost all the mistakes that you explained in this video.
I used to make those mistakes because I used to think in Italian instead of thinking in English!
In my opinion, if you really want to learn a language you have to stop to think in your native language; that's essential!!
In fact, I used to make many mistakes because I used to translate everything from Italian into English directly.
For example, in Italian language "I am 19 years old" is "io ho diciannove anni" so, I used to say "I have 19 years old"😂😂.
I used to say (literally all the time😂) "I am agree" because in Italian it's "io sono d'accordo"; my mistakes were hilarious 😂.
Basically, I used to make all the mistakes that you explained in this video except confusing "to molest" with "molestare" and "embarrassed" with "imbarazzata/imbarazzato" (in Italian "molestare" means to molest and "imbarazzata/imbarazzato" embarrassed).
Another mistake that I used to make was to use the verb to do instead of the verb to make; for example, I used to say: "to do a cake" instead of "to make a cake".
Fortunately, I have been improved my English a lot by myself and at school and now I'm already able to understand 90-95% of any tv series in English without subtitles; that's amazing.
What are your thoughts on watching tv series for improving your English??
In my opinion that's an amazing way for improving your English; isn't it??
We Italians make the almost the same mistakes that Spanish speakers make because our languages are very similar; although I have never studied Spanish I'm able to understand 85-90% of Spanish (if it's spoken slowly).
Noi italiani siamo vostri fratelli e sorelle! (We Italians are your brothers and sisters).
P.S.Saluti dall'Italia! (Greeting from Italy)
Il tuo canale YouTube è fantastico!! (Your YouTube channel is amazing).

Your English is perfect & this is a valuable video, but here are a few comments. Mistake number one in your video is the first sentence: "I have come up with a list of ten phrases and words that us Spanish speakers .... etc." The proper construction is: "... words that WE Spanish speakers make mistakes on ..." You would not say, "Us make mistakes", right? You would say "We make mistakes". Don't feel badly about having made that mistake, as many English speakers who should know better also make it. Another tip: when you say the word "lose", you are pronouncing the S hard, the way it is pronounced in Spanish. In English that word is pronounced as though the S is an English Z -- looz. If you pronounce the S hard, you turn it into the word "loose", which can make what you're trying to say confusing. Not terribly important, but look closely at the spelling of the word "pronunciation". It changes from the word "pronounce", so you do not say "proNOUNciation", but instead "proNUNciation". Just remember that there is a monja in the middle, ha ha. GREAT explanation of this, that, those, etc.! Also, brilliant suggestion to the students about watching tv.
