in 1995 I designed a on board parachute for an electric glider I made that had a still camera mounted to it.  The glider very heavy, back then we didn't have light batt backs, and cameras, and the system did not work very well, too heavy.  I got out of the hobby, and man have things changed.  Maybe time to get back in.

When you do your testing please add specs for additional weight and maybe how much flight time lost adding the additional weight of the system. Also if you want to get technical test for how many extra amps the multirotor draws and this will be important for some so that they don't overload their esc. Also I wonder how this would work. My crashes have been from a mid air prop breaks and a motor giving out. All cases where the quad was flipping. I wonder how you get the other motors to do an immediate shut down so they don't tangle/ cut the cords?

So you have to trigger it manually? Wont work very well if you lose signal then. Some other parachute systems detect if your multicopter is at a too steep angle and deploy themselves.

do not forget the MARS chutes.. they have one for smaller MR (phantom, flame wheel, and the TBS discovery, etc ) for about 150.00 i think the last time i looked into this .  good to see other company's getting into this.  seems competitions will be good i think.

Model rocket smoke fuses may work and save a lot of cash. Nice they kept it under $500.

Hey alishimano i have a redcat aftershock 8e but I'm disspointed in it cuz the tires keep coming off the rim and no matter how I glue it it comes off. But I also can't find any tires on the web either cuz it supposibly has 12 mm hex and that the same as 1/10 scale tires but the spindle is too large what do I do

At that price, unless you have a $30K + uav it's not worth it. The price would go a long way to obtaining the parts I need to build a new one.
