Shibaozhai Pagoda - hill with a three story temple on top and 9 story side pavilion, forming together unusual striking pagoda;
White Emperor City (Baidi City, Baidicheng, Baidi Temple) - temple complex known also as the "City of Poems" as some famous poets lived and wrote about it. The area is known with history going back almost 2,000 years, the temple has outstanding cultural and historical relics and offers view of the Qutang gorge;
Goddess Stream - beautiful narrow tributary flowing into the Yangtze river right across from the Goddess peak;
Three Gorges Dam - the largest hydroelectric dam in the world, 1.4 miles wide (2.3 kilometers) and 630 feet (192 meters) high.

The Three Gorges of Yangtze river was one of the main battle fields during Three Kingdom period of Han Destiny. So, besides the splendid view of her natural beauty, it's also a place with rich cultural heritage. The city in beginning of the film is Chongqing, one of the fast growing metropolis in central China, deserves to be visit.

About three years ago I was flying from Incheon, Korea to Chongqing on a business. There were heavy fog around Chongqing airport so our female pilot (Asiana Airline) comes onto intercom and says " ladies and gentlemen we will be circling around Chongqing due to heavy fog, please enjoy the scenery below you" The plane circled around for about 45 mins.
I saw what I believe to be the most spectacular scenery in life circling top of yangtze river and uninhabited area around it.
I was dreaming of and thinking of martial art stories written by 金庸 - 査良鏞
. I was a lead actor in one of his story flying around woods.

China is a beautiful country. I recommend anyone who likes to travel to discover remote China.

In my opinion, the Three Gorges bears one of the most profound memories of China in the past 100 years. The daydreams of building a dam from the Sun Wen period. The final defense of the National Government during the WWII. The madness of the collectivist economy period. The dream come true of Three Gorges dam construction in modern times. Migration of the Three Gorges peoples, and they make sacrifices for the good of country.

Excellent experience and cinematography! I’ve cruised the Three Gorges 30 years ago before the dam was built and the sceneries were very much different back then.
