Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? Is The God of the Quran the same as the God of the Bible?

The Quran claims that Christians and Muslims worship the same God;

Surah 29:46 (Sahih International): "And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, 'We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.'"

The Catholic Church Teaches That Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Vatican 2: NOSTRA AETATE The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth,(5) who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God.

However, there are a number of significant differences between the God of the bible and the god of the Quran.

So, based on everything written in the Quran, Allah loveth NOT anyone. You've got to wonder about a religion where you are allowed to lie and are commanded to kill people who refuse to believe the way you do. I wonder what the allure is for those who would kill the infidel (everyone on who isn't muslim) by wearing an explosive device, committing suicide, and dying alongside the infidels. There's so much that's wrong about the Quran.

I want to add here, Allah is not a general arabic word for God, its a proper noun and it was a name of arab pagan diety, later adopted into islam. Its not the same God of the bible. The word for God in arabic is 'rab' not allah.

Soso obvious they are not the same. The nature and character of the True Living God is patient, kind, tenderhearted, slow to get angry and quick to forgive. He is near to us.

Exodus 34:6
6 The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,

The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.”

Allah, as you pointed out, is vengeful, heartless, indifferent and distant. I’m more apt to say allah is a pagan “god.”

The God of the Christian Bible is "I AM THAT I a sinner, I am not on equal footing with God, so thus I am prohibited from calling Him by name ( Ask yourself: Do you call your parents by name?, so then who are you to call God by name?)
