What is Clexane?

Clexane injection contains the active ingredient enoxaparin, which is a type of medicine called a low molecular weight heparin. It is used to stop blood clots forming within the blood vessels.

Clexane is used to treat blood clots seen in deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, as well as preventing blood clots from occurring.

Enoxaparin prevents and treats dangerous blood clots from occurring by preventing the production of fibrin, the essential component of blood clots.
