AI4DBP - AZTI & Marine Instruments - Integrating AI in electronic monitoring systems

Marine Instruments and the Basque Research Institute AZTI present how AI enhances visual recognition of marine species in electronic monitoring systems for compliance, control and fully documented fisheries. Marine Instruments is one of the leading companies designing and manufacturing electronic systems for sustainable fisheries, among others satellite buoys for tuna fisheries and electronic monitoring systems for compliance, control and fully documented fisheries. We are working on a number of projects that involve AI for different purposes, including automatic species recognition, real time biomass estimates among other applications for aquatic resource management.
