I have been in the hobby for decades. Tried Multies for the first time and they are the best fish I have ever kept.

Hey Jason, I recently started a shell dweller tank and you were definitely the main reason. Your love for multies is so infectious that I couldn’t help myself but take a dive into these small wonders myself. I just want to thank you for all you do with your videos, and how much great information you pack into them. Keep up the good work, and I will need to get myself a lowboy like that one day.

what a beautiful tank...I had to watch it twice because I was mesmerized visually and realized I wasn't listening! Thank you for providing the thorough videos on the different species of shell-dwellers. I've decided my next tank will be a shell dweller tank, I feel I hit the motherlode with all your videos. Thank you for taking the time to compile comprehensive info AND accompany it with beautiful video. I met both you and your wife this past week at Orlando Aquashella and enjoyed your talk...I'm ordering escargot shells today!

Great video on the Multi's! I got 5 of them for my 15 gallon setup, got the shells, the sand, tank was somewhat cycled in with a filter and a small potted plant and I love them! One female did get rejected from the colony, probably because there wasn't enough "floorspace", they almost killed her and she moved to the top left corner so I think there is a limit to the amount of adults per square feet of aquarium space. When anybody sees one multi going up in the corner and staying there it could mean trouble. Love your setup for the multi's and wish I would have such a nice large tank for them to thrive. I feed mine live daphnia that I keep and they love that as well but it's not as good a foodsource as brine shrimp, I love it when to go into live-food-attack-mode and really go for that daphnia. Subscribing! :-)

I've watched this video several times and love your channel. Iwas able to get my own Multis after a year or so and was so excited after seeing your fish profile. After a few months they've finally been having fry and my colony of 7 has turned to about 20 just a few weeks ago. Keep up all the great content and thanks for the inspiration to own an incredible fish!

We've had a Multi tank for about a year. I have a real problem with black algae and have been thinking about moving the fish and starting over. Glad I didn't, today we are starting to see fry around ten do far with lots of eggs still in the shells. Thanks for the suggestion and great videos.

I've had a lot of success keeping Multies with different kinds of Julidrochomis. If you prove some stones/caves in the back of the tank, the Julies will most likely stay there, and will rarely venture out of their cave and bother other fish. The Multies will then quickly learn that the cave is off limits, and then you have a good functioning aquarium :)

Good profile, the water changes is spot on they don't like lagre water changes. One thing is wrong tough, multis is one of the harder fish you'll ever find, and are among the most tolerant fish in the hobby against amonia, nitrite and nitrate. But the fry will grow better in a well established tank, with some algae and dirt where they can scavange för micro food.
