There are many people who are working who still dont have enough money for food. Of all things to cut off why food stamps? Why not the spending on Nasa or other things not food for the poor thats the least they coukd pay for with our tax dollars.

This is why you buy the essentials. Also find a cheap store that you can buy most products in bulk. Yes you can do it on food stamps. If you know how to cook then buy flour and yeast and salt and you can make your own breads. Make beans and cornbread. Not ideal but when you are hungry it is very filling and buy the large hams and freeze them. Buy turkey. Turkey can last a few days if you control the portions and keep it refrigerated. Also the reason why people need to get fishing and hunting license. That is food right there and learning edible wild plants and go foraging.
