Idahoan Psalter: Psalm 84

Показать описание
The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 84th Psalm.
Lyrics:
Most welcoming are Thy tabernacles, Lord!
Oh how my soul yearns for the peace that they afford!
As a sparrow takes refuge securely in her nest,
And there doth raise her brood where no predator may reach,
My soul shall to Thee repair, and at Thine altar rest,
And shall rear my children there, Thy ways to them to teach!
Most blessed is the man that takes Thy ways to heart,
And from Thy sanctuary never doth depart,
For unfathomable peace shall he find there in praising Thee,
And indominable strength Thou wilt for him e’er be!
For him the desert doth become a garden with founts filled,
For he appears in God’s kingdom and goeth from strength to strength unstilled,
Oh Lord of Hosts give ear unto my plea I pray:
Let me unto Thee draw near, and abide with Thee alway,
For to serve within Thy courts is better by a thousand fold,
Than a throne ‘neath grand pavilions by wickedness to hold,
For like the splendor of the sun blazes the glory of God’s grace:
From wrath He shields everyone who by His light doth seek His face.
No good thing will God withhold from the man who by His grace,
To all his upright ways doth hold, and in God his trust doth place,
He shall blessedness untold find in Almighty God’s embrace!
Yes, all blessedness untold find in Almighty God’s embrace!
