Calella 2022 I Costa del Maresme I Spanje I deel 1

Op onze 4 de dag aan de Costa Brava brachten we een bezoekje aan het mooie Calella. We waren daar nog nooit niet geweest, enkel voorbijgereden met de trein. Dit is deel 1 van ons daguitstapje op 24 oktober 2022.

Calella is een gemeente en badplaats in de Spaanse autonome regio Catalonië, in de provincie Barcelona. De plaats heeft een 2 km lang strand waar toeristen al naartoe gingen voordat de Spaanse Costa's een hype werden. Calella ligt aan de Costa del Maresme.

Calella beschikt over 3 heerlijke stranden. Daarnaast kan je hier heel goed winkelen, in het oude centrum vind je namelijk de langste winkelstaat van de hele Costa Brava! Ook vind je hier vele terrasjes en restaurantjes waar je kan genieten van tapas en een heerlijk drankje. Voor het uitgaanscentrum moet je in het nieuwe gedeelte zijn, deze zit vol met bars en clubs. Nog wat cultuursnuiven? Bezoek dan de vuurtoren Sant Sebastià, ga naar het cactushuis, die zoals de naam al zegt, is omgeven door cactussen of wandel tussen de palmbomen in Parc Dalmau. Ook Barcelona is goed te bereiken met de trein, perfect voor een dagtripje.

Eng: On our 4th day on the Costa Brava, we visited beautiful Calella. We had never been there before, only passed by by train. This is part 1 of our day trip on 24 October 2022.

Calella is a municipality and seaside resort in the Spanish autonomous region of Catalonia, in the province of Barcelona. The place has a 2 km-long beach where tourists have been going since before the Spanish Costa became a hype. Calella is located on the Costa del Maresme.

Calella boasts 3 lovely beaches. You can also shop very well here, as the old town centre has the longest shopping street in the entire Costa Brava! You will also find many terraces and restaurants where you can enjoy tapas and a delicious drink. For nightlife, the new part of the town is full of bars and clubs. Want to sniff some culture? Then visit the Sant Sebastià lighthouse, go to the cactus house, which as the name suggests is surrounded by cacti, or stroll among the palm trees in Parc Dalmau. Barcelona is also easy to reach by train, perfect for a day trip.
