Wow. I preferred the Viltrox every time. I was also surprised at how ridiculously easy it was to spot which photo was taken with which lens. The Viltrox is the clear winner for me.

This whole video I preferred the Viltrox on every comparison. Maybe it was from the increased brightness but it just popped and I loved the color rendition. Man! I don’t want to have to buy this lens lol. Great video as always.

You can see the compression even though its only 4mm more, this lens is 🔥🔥🔥

I really preferred the Viltrox lens and its warmer skin tones for a portrait shoot like this

I don't know if it's a trick of the light because the viltrox is a little more exposed than the fuji, but it seems like there's a bit more contrast and "3D pop"? Like it feels to me that you can perceive the curvature of the facial lines more than just what you're getting from compression and the extra ~half stop of light.

Thanks. The colors coming out of the Fuji feel a bit more natural (less warm) and more contrasty (maybe partially because of the exposure levels?). Any nighttime tests planned?

Indeed the warmer tone is what struck me first, it is consistently warmer and the easiest difference to spot.
Bokeh is pleasing.
Interesting lens.

The Viltrox renders the skin much more pleasing. It's more Fuji than Fuji! 😍👌

I have a 50mm F2 and 90MM F2 for my XT5. which would you recommend to complement this set up? 23, 27 or 33mm? Want something a little wider but with nice lens character for everyday use

BEST YOUTUBE CHANNEL
love the comparison and conclution
in the specs this 2 lens only 1/3 stop different but in picture it almost 2/3 ~ 1 stop different.

its normal because f stop in every brand has its own measurement & calculation even in same brand like canon.
i own canon EF 50mm f1.2 and canon RF 50mm f1.8
the old EF 50mm f1.2 lens must set to f2.2 to produce identical bokeh and light input compare to RF 50mm f1.8 at wide open

Not that this focal length is something you would ideally shoot a lot of closer up portraits but I think if you ask a model he/she is going to prefer the Viltrox over the Fuji due to the warmer tones

Are they very different in size?? I have the Viltrox and I want to change it for the Fuji, mostly because I feel the Viltrox is very heavy and bulky.

This is awesome comparison video. K think the viltrox 27mm is a perfect compromise between the fuji 23mm and the 33mm. What is your opinion on the 27mm f1.2 in conjunction with the viltrox 75mm f1.2 for wedding photography?

The Viltrox F1.2 pro series is just too good, so no contest here. I am looking forward to their new LAB line offerings.

Hello Xing Liu For me, this lens is good in every way, but I have a question about the color. Do you have a way to manage or adjust the color to match the Fuji color as much as possible?

I watched your 2 videos again but still can't decide on 16 or 23mm. We want to capture more landscape, with the human subject usually not in the center of the photo. It seems like 16mm is the right one? but I already have a 16-50mm F2.8 kit lens. would another 16mm F1.4 be redundant?

Both seem to me to be excellent lenses, even if the viltrox apparently manages to restore a softer bokeh, more luminosity and a warmer colored skin, but on the cheeks for example it better restores that little rosy color that enriches the model. But above all, what is really impressive is that it is the original Fuji lens that is chasing it, which with almost 300 euros more in cost, is struggling to keep up!! Fantastic!

Xing, this has been super helpful. Could you please clarify exactly what you mean when you say "warmer?" You mention the Viltrox images are warmer, but I'm curious how you define "warm." I was also wondering which lens you feel produces sharper images. I'm mostly interested in AF performance for candid shots of people at events. I have the Viltrox 75 Pro and love it. I also own the Fuji 33mm, but wondering if I should replace it with the Viltrox 27mm f1.2. Thank you so much for your helpful videos!
