All YG girl groups have the hint of YG, period. Not the hint of Swi.T, 2ne1, Blackpink or Babymonster. They shouldn't be compared with each other. What you hear or see from them is basically YG signature. That's what sets them apart from other girl groups out there. The blueprint of girl crush came from their label, and they're just continuing the legacy. Let's stop the comparison. YG will not give you what you want; instead, they will give you what they're best at. And that my friend, is being true to your core and your art. Period.

That rap line? Oh they slapped me in the face. There’s no top tier vocals and rappers these days until BabyMonster debut. Their mini album is also diversed with different moods in it, even the stuck in the middle remix was surprisingly different, feels like an album of the year in my opinion. And i also strongly agree with you that they’re not Blackpink 2.0, they’re their own sauce with a lil spice from their mothers (Blackpink), all of them ate up and left no crumbs. SHEESH 🤧🔥

I love this so much. Yes, I agree with you. We all want BABYMONSTER to have their own colour, so no one can call them a 2.0 of anyone! As a Blink, I really want BABYMONSTER to have their own concept which screams MONSTERS! And Sheesh is the perfect theme and concept of BABYMONSTER core! The haunted, scary and horror background with music combines together! Their styles was so different and new, makeup and everything! Esp the ending was so good, it’s like a Monsters party and the harmonies reminds me of scary harmonies singing in horror movie! 10/10 this official OT7 debut! I think Batter Up is good to be posted first cuz YG can have some fans opinion, and improve! I think they did hear us, cuz I’m screaming throughout the MV, it’s so Monster High and Twillight vibes!❤

okay but Batter Up is not really their debut song. It's a pre-release, a teaser. While Batter Up is the song they came out with first, they're *officially* debuting as a kpop group today as BabyMonster with Sheesh.

I say it's a great formula. even concept-wise. Batter Up was like "aye we're coming to the field yall better be ready" while Sheesh was a STATEMENT song that's giving "alright. play time's over yall. WE'RE HERE."

I feel like they reserved this song as their official OT7 debut, since Ahyeon cannot join them last year due to her illness, in their supposed to be debut. By the way, the rap was written/composed by Choi Hyunsuk (Treasure). You may be hearing his adlibs in between and the growl during Ruka's part. Aside from the girls slaying the rap, their vocals are so amazing. They showcased everything in this song.
