This comment section is the proof that people need to be reminded on what empathy is.
Blaming someone and calling them names for being uncomfortable around animals is unfair and disrespectful (not to mention toxic). As someone that was afraid of dogs and how is a happy dog owner and a animal lover, I will always bear in mind that I might encounter someone with the same fear... and sadly I feel very few other people are put the slight effort into this.
Fear is something a person doesn't have much control, it just happens and you shouldn't make someone feel any less of a man for having it.
