Thanks, Mike !! I traveled that way MANY times as a kid. We lived in Shoreview and gramma lived on Burr Street in East St. Paul.
I remember the names of the cross streets but that is all. There were no freeways when I was a kid back in about 1902.

My ma did this drive growing up every other weekend until i graduated so me and my sister could see my dad. My ma and dad met halfway at Hinckley. Good times 🙂. We did a slightly different trip starting from Edina.

This road can get real busy on a Friday afternoon/evening as people from the 'cities' head "up north" for the weekend. Most pulling boats and trailers and taking their exits to "the lake". Sunday nights can get busy heading south.

I used to do this drive three times a day for work, used to be great to stop at Tobies every time. Sadly I recently lost my job at BP after a little accident I caused in the Atlantic LOL.
