I worry about my friends and in-laws in Taiwan. Taiwan is a wonderful country that I lived in for over ten years and would like to move back to in a few years. I hope it survives whatever China tries to do. I do think Taiwan needs to seriously take initiative in creating their own weapons and arming their citizens. They should not rely on the US for help. They also need to cancel any plans for moving their semiconductor production to the US. Taiwan is very technologically advanced. There is no reason they can't be a leading manufacturer and developer of advanced weapons systems.
