Hey all!

In this video I go over the techniques of creating a structured mesh in ANSYS Fluent CFD. The following is covered
1) Face Split
2) 2D Geometry
3) Solidworks Importing
4) Meshing
5) Element SIZING
6) Mesh BIAS
7) Mesh Inflation

After spending hours of time in vain, I came across this video and this was the BEST I have ever seen in generating structured mesh

I have been trying to do structured mesh for two weeks. I was losing my hope then I saw this video. Thank you!

Hello sir, it would be really a great help from your side if you could make video on the cfd analysis of a rocket with refined mesh. Your explanation is really appreciating, I am easily able to understand the cfd from your videos. Thank you sir.

yep, this works. i am surprised the mapped mesh option is no longer available

how can i create a structured mesh with boundary layer? inflation control and face meshing are not compatible.

how we can do in 3d, actually splitting similar like that or we need to do different

Hi sir, I have a unique problem
I simulate a 2D axisymmetric steam ejector
the flow is a very high speed, 1300m/s at the outlet of converging-diverging nozzle
the case is a Density-based problem, with water vapor(density: ideal gas) as a working fluid

my mesh is coarse (2000element) the simulation goes well
but when my mesh is fine (40000-60000 element) the floating due to excessive temperature occur
actually, my orthogonal quality, skewness, and aspect ratio is very good
I don't really know what the problem is

I’m modelling an aerofoil using this mesh style, does the size impact the results of the cfd processor.what I mean by this is, my aerofoil is currently scaled down by some factor and thus so is the domain so will this size decrease affect the Ansys cfd results. (Lift and drag coefficient)

at 4:30 (after using facing splitting and before generation) i am facing this problem: It says ANSYSWBU.exe encountered a problem. and shows A diagnostic file has been written : C:\\User\sai\App and workbench closes suddenly.
please help me for this problem

in recent ansys version say 19 and above, we dont see the options like advance size functions, proximity size functions, max face size etc. can you please explain the same meshing with the latest version of ansys.
Thanks

Hi, I want to know how to model a simple superhydrophobic surface in Ansys workbench or icem cfd? Please share.
