Guadalest Castle and the town of Guadalest is an extremely popular tourist destination on the east coast of Spain and for good reason, apart from its stunning views, extremely well-preserved castle, and interesting history, the town has various stunning monuments and interesting places to visit such as:

- Castle of L'Alcazaiba or Sant Josep, built in the 11th century by Muslims.
- Castle of the King.
- Tower-crag of Alcalà.
- Baroque Catholic church of Mare de Déu de l'Assumpció, built between 1740 and 1753.
- Jail, built in the 12th century. It conserves a dungeon.
- Antonio Marco Museum
- Ethnological Museum
- Historical Motorcycle Museum Vall de Guadalest, a collection of over a hundred motorcycles and some small cars, all in perfect condition.
- Micro-Gigantic Museum
- Miniatures Museum
- Ribera Girona Museum
- The Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum, 20,000 salt and pepper shakers from around the world. (See also)
- Torture instruments Museum
- Town Museum Orduña House

In this video, we take you on a walk through the village and up to the top of the main tower to enjoy the view and the beautiful cobbled streets.

If you are on the east coast of Spain, anywhere in between Valencia and Alicante, I highly suggest taking a day to explore this stunning valley and everything that it has to offer.

On the same day, we actually visited 2 other beautiful sites but each had their own special thing to offer so we decided to split it into a 3 part series but you can easily achieve all three in one spectacular day making it a perfect day trip from Denia, Javea, Altea, Benidorm, Alicante, or even as far north as Valencia. Simply head inland from the National highway N-332, connecting onto the 3318 and then to the 3313 to make your way up to Guadalest.

It's a stunning drive with very well maintained roads but there are plenty of options from the coast to catch a bus that will take you up there.
