Great video, I was able to get the fan out clean it with an air compressor, lube the barring. Was great for a solid week and then the noise came back. Wanted to share that it's ideal to replace the fan as this will only buy you maybe a week or so. Also with it being in a laptop, my other HP folio 9480m died as I left the laptop in the cold car over night and upon booting the fan was grinding so loud the fan gave out. This is the second Laptop identical and the same issue is occurring. I ended up buying a replacement fan on Amazon. Again great video on how to get the fan out easily.

My fan completely died but I thought it was strange that it just continued working for 9 hours the through out the day. I'm right now in the process of waiting for a replacement fan with heat sink to come in the mail that I bought on ebay. I'm new to laptop, so i've been watching videos on how to take apart the entire housing layers just to replace the fan.

What liquid are you using? is it water?

I guess you are cleaning the fan with something like alcohol, and you are reassembling the fan using glue, right??
