I was coming to the end of a 4.5 year prison sentence in 2010 for robbery. I was in a maximum security prison in solitary confinement. I was completely infatuated with this song when it came out. I'd keep my TV on a music channel all day just waiting for this song to come on. When I was released in December 2010, I met my future wife soon after who was a huge Twilight fan. I didn't know this song was from Twilight, or even what Twilight was, when I would listen to this song while is prison. Eleven years later, we are still married and have 5 kids. I now have a masters degree and am a professional engineer. My wife is a nurse. My how times have changed. I still love this song though.

I had walked out of the room as the Eclipse credits were rolling at the end of the movie only to walk right back into the room seconds later to find out who was singing that closing song. OMG what a voice. Eclipse is a freakin amazing tune, but the pinnacle of that composition, even more so than the lyrics...is Emily Haines voice. I wonder if she knew when she wrote it that it would be the biggest soundtrack hit of that movie franchise.

Metric was a such a big part of my adolescence. This song (from Twilight Eclipse) and Black Sheep (from Scott Pilgrim Vs The World) where two songs that defined my music taste as a person. Now ten years later, I listen to them and they bring me happiness, nostalgia and beautiful memories. Thank you Metric.
