North Korea has test launched a new version of an anti-aircraft missile.
The Korean Central News Agency said that it test-fired the newly developed anti-aircraft missile on Thursday.
The KCNA also said the launch was to test the missile's comprehensive performance and the operation of the launch pad, detector and command vehicle.
It said through the test-fire, the military efficiency of the missile including the quick response of the operation system and the extension of the distance of hitting the mark had been proven.
The launch happened just two days after Pyeongyang claimed to have tested a new hypersonic gliding missile on Tuesday.
The regime's leader Kim Jong-un did not attend Thursday's test-launch.
