It's interesting how, close up, you can really see that they're something alien trying really hard to look as human as possible. They got most of the details down, but then theres things like how their ears don't have holes and are just decorative spikes, the way their hands wriggle like insects, the slightly off feet, how their breathing wracks their whole body in an odd way...
It's just kinda cool the detail they put in.

If you ever run out of monsters to look at in detail I’d love to see videos highlighting the architecture in From Soft games. I think they do a fantastic job with the design!

I love that when FromSoft finally put elves in a game they made them silicon-based aliens from outer space.

Geologists take:
Alabaster is a modification of gypsum, an evaporite salt that crystallizes in sea water when the water, it's solvant, evaporates.
Onyx is a quartz variant, a black crystal growing in a very pure silicate ooze at rather cool temperatures. That silicate ooze can either be a cooled quartz Magma from within the earth or the skeletons of millions of microorganisms in the Deep sea.

Neither has a connection with Meteorites or gravity. If anything, they both grow in water.
Due to their striking colouration (pure white and pure black) they became symbols of royalty.

Minerals play a specific roll in Elden Ring. Gold, be it dull, unalloyed or tarnished, is a symbol for the Greater Wills Vassals.
Silver is a symbol for the Carians, Astrologers and the inhabitants of the Eternal Cities.
Humans in the Lords Service are granted Brass armourments, imiatating Gold, while most other Humans are associated with iron.
The anchient Dragons are associated with Gravel stone.
And it seems, that the Alabaster and Onyx Lords represent a fifth mineral type, the so-called Gravity Stone, making them as fundamentally different from and unrelated to the Rest.

The fact that in the game files they are called DarkWalker and LightWalker makes me wonder if they were inspired by the White Walkers given GRR Martin's influence and the similar traits they share ("Tall ... and gaunt and hard as old bones")

I really love how they have the mineral veins of golden ore running through their bodies. They're not quite to the level of the Stonediggers as non-organic beings, but it definitely seems like they're in an odd transitional phase, sort of like Azur & Lusat but less extreme and more fully integrated.

"Teacher! I have returned to show you the gravity magic to taught me in effect...you alright?"

"Yeah. I'm fine Radahn...just a little tired."

I wish these enemies were tougher given that theyre supposed to be lords, they look so badass but they've just got a few easily dodged gravity attacks and sword swings

Interesting how the Alabaster Lords use pulling gravity magic, while the Onyx Lords use it to repel things.

Medieval Fantasy: Usually have mythological and supernatural beings like wizards, witches, dragons, demons, etc.

Its really fascinating to get a closer look at these enemies! Could you perhaps sometime take a look at the Zamor? There seems to be a lot of weird stuff associated with them and like the onyx/alabaster lords all we really get a proper chance to see the lore through is from their models

I like how Radahn has a somewhat similar moveset to these guys, being that one was his mentor.

One of the strongest enemies in Elden Ring. A tall, skinny, old guy with a forehead the size of whatever space formation they come from wearing in only a diaper

It’s crazy to think that these guys came from the sky and their mimicry only goes so far.

Wish there was more lore behind these guys

Thanks for this close look at the Alabaster and Onyx Lords, revealing the mineral veins running across their bodies, the small details of their ears, and so on. If it wouldn't be a bother, I'd like to request an in-depth look at the various Beastmen of Farum Azula. The Beastmen seem to have various bangles and other pieces of jewelry, along with talismans and engraved armor, but it's hard to discern because of their long, mangy fur.

Didn't see anyone mention this so I'll do it. The Alabaster Lord's sword looks somewhat similar to the Moonlight Greatsword, the color looks the same to me and the hilt looks a little similar but not much. Meanwhile the Onyx Lord's sword looks like it could have inspired Radahn's swords, being curved and that bronze color.

I wonder if From is trying to convey that the sorcerers copied their weapons and maybe even originally learned magic from the Lords?

I just faced and defeated Knights Calvary. I LOVED The design on that enemy (or Boss?)! Wish I could fight it as a regular enemy.
