Romans 4:1-25: According to the Scriptures.

In this passage Paul backs up his claim that the gospel of justification by faith is in line with the Scriptures and thus upholds God’s law. Paul uses the example of Abraham and David to show that a right relationship with God has always been on the basis of faith, not works of law.
