I’ve always loved how well versed and eloquent the pillar men were. I feel like from the fact that their an ancient people, and the impression that Santana gave, that it could have been inferred that they’d speak in a very caveman-ish way. But the author squashed that idea right away by showing how wise they are from the things they’ve learned throughout the ages, which is honestly terrifying
