Shortcut - Easily replace draw.io shapes in Atlassian Confluence

You can easily replace shapes by simply dragging and dropping the new shapes over the existing ones. But it can be done even faster! Just select the shape you want to change, press and hold the Shift key and click on the new shape in the library.

The drag method works for me. I think the key point is not to hide the blue button when dragging and dropping the new shape.

Thanks for the useful tip. It doesn't appear to work either way to replace the shape of a text box - is that deliberate ?

This doesn't work for me, not one or the other way. The new shape just appears on the diagram, not replacing the previous shape.

replacing with rectangle gives square, replacing with circle gives oval
