The screen is good on Acer because it is using IPS LCD tech where as asus is using the old school TFT LCD.

These are the two I’m running back and forth with. I have some older stream games from 2006 I’d like to try playing and maybe RuneScape. But that’s all the gaming I’ll be doing with it. (The steam games are portal 2 and left 4 dead) I hope one of these laptops can run them smoothly.

for anyone wondering. seems like the major difference comes down to the lcd screen.
aces aspire 5 slim uses ips, while asus vivobook 15 uses tft panel..
thats where its a deal breaker or not. tft panels suck sweaty bud holes. this aint the early 2000's

Am I too old school? I would buy the Acer because it has the Ethernet port... always good to have that option in my opinion. I had both experiences where the wifi in my laptop broke and then the wifi in my modem broke so I love having the Ethernet option without having to buy an adapter for it
