The backbone of the US military is for individuals to take the initiative where required and to think outside the box. Those are its superpowers.

F-117s don’t drop Tomahawks. Those are cruise missles.

F-22 is the fighter that would face the J-20 and it would be no contest.

USAF wins in quality and quantity, but mostly Quality!!!!

The Philippines should be included in the list of US refueling partners.

There is no question why. Better aircraft and much better trained pilots. It's that simple. Oh and the number factor as well. When you have the best pilots flying the best aircraft you have an unbeatable force. Can't believe some still bring up the J-20. It's not a true 5th gen. fighter. It's barely a 4.5 gen. fighter. F-15's, 16 & 18 will be able to detach it and shot it down. The F-22 would be able to fly right up to it like it did to the Iranian F-4. With several long range AAM coming out, they won't have to get close. J-20 pilots won't know they were being attacked until they start getting blown out of the sky. There is no doubt Chinas bark is far worse than it's bite. They learned from the best, Russia, on how to blow smoke up the worlds ass. Another problem China has is their dying economy. They won't be able to do militarily like they have been doing. Many of their brand new ships are going to be just like all their new apartment buildings, sit abandon. Sitting in their harbors getting rusty.

Correction, we have 11 super carriers. We have dozens of other types of carriers too.

The J-20 is China’s answer to our F-22, not the F-35.
The J20 initially was an air superiority fighter, then morphed into a multi-role fighter because it’s no where near as good as the F22 and we came up with the F35.

chinas maintenance per flight hour is so high they need 10 jets per 1 western jet

J-20 has speed but the F-35 does not rely on speed. It relies on beyond visual range (BVR) weaponry and more stealth.

The F-35 can track and target the J-20 before the J-20 even knows its there.

They're not called Aerial "Tanks" A Tank is an armored ground fighting vehicle. They're called Aerial "Tank.

What about when they run out of missiles they need to land 😅

19:50 Ye've overlooked something. Stealth is fundamentally a low speed regime. Nobody can maintain stealth when going supersonic. Supersonic speeds create increased noise, heat signature and ANYONE will be suspicious of any small radar cross sections that are travelling at supersonic speeds.

The idea of stealth is to avoid attracting attention to oneself via sonic noise and heat buildup and minimize one's radar cross section and lose one's remaining small radar cross section in the noise of other tiny radar cross section returns that litter the subsonic regime of the sky.

THAT'S why the US CHOSE to prioritize stealth over supersonic speeds in the design of the F-35 and leave supersonic flight & fighting to the F-15s/16s which are NOT stealth and prioritizes speed and manoeuvrability over stealth. The F-22 was the first fighter the US tried to combine Stealth and speed but soon found the fundamental conflict between speed and stealth. That's wgmhy they abandoned building more and focused on the F-35 for stealth and kept the F-15/16 around for even longer.

Eventually the day we have a stealth capable supersonic fighter will come, but that is in the future. I do know the US is currently working towards that goal for a fighter that can go supersonic and STILL be low observable in the radar and heat detection ranges. At same time we are also working on HYPERsonic fighters which may or may not also be low observable.

This shouldn’t even be any good comparison since china only started building there own weapons, due to the war in Ukraine seeing how Russia weapons is a failure and let’s not forget china do not know how to make fighter jets engines.

NGAD estimate of $300 million
Yeah right, that sounds so familar. More like 500 million once its in production

china is also hitting a brick wall in terms of GDP and growth. It was on a fast track, then its COVID changed everything. Now they have a crashing economy and frozen real estate market. And are getting squeezed in regard to having money to spend on this stuff.

Before I watch the video, I can say that the US would defeat China in an Air war. The US has better logistics and support, transport, a deep bench of well trained and experienced pilots, superior technology, and superior maintenance. Former USAF Captain.

The only advantage that China has that I didnt hear you mention is the fact that the U.S. has global commitments for its military. China would have the advantage of having most of its military assets in theater at the time of the conflicts intial outbreak. Time however would favor the Americans.
