What I love about this movie is how realistic they make the monsters

When you think quarantine was, at least we didn’t have to be silent and chased by monsters

Running in shoes and boots silently CAN be done. There are a few comments farther down that talk about how it's "impossible" to run without making noise whilst wearing boots. Yes it's possible. Pick up your feet, land and equally roll your weight from heel to toe. It's a lot quieter than you'd think. Also Cillian's character doesn't even start really start hustling until the alien is already making a load of ambient noise from crashing into things. And doesn't start truly *TRUCKIN* until he sees the the home free pipe.
