Taylor Swift is a Pop star, she use to be country bruh!

Whether or not you "personally" like Taylor or not, she deserves this award. Her and Beyoncé were the only two who really could have gotten it for THE DECADE. But it's crazy to me that people (Karen) will discount a person because they can't see why that person got it. Check the girl's accomplishments before you speak. Karen sounds very uninformed and in her feelings.

10 Grammys
29 AMAs
23 Billboard Awards
6 Guinness World Records
12 CMAs
1 Emmy
Inducted into the Songwriters HOF
Top 10 Best Selling Artist of ALL TIME (Beyoncé is not even in the top 30)
And the list goes on...

Plus....she did all this before turning 30yrs old!!! That is amazing whether you like her or not. If I had to choose between her and Beyoncé, I would have chose Beyoncé, but she was just as deserving.

Not a fan of any award shows except the Billboard Awards because it the only one truly accurate because the winner are chosen by record and concert sells and fans. The rest are chosen by people who aren't into today's music and different diversity of it. Not a fan of Taylor Swift's music but musical she deserves the highest honor because of writing and well as longevity in the musical industry. The host of the AMAs is one of most fiery performers in modern history yet has never the true recognition she so richly deserves. With that strong high school band feel to Dose that should have been the Super Bowl half time star performance but I digress. Congrats to Taylor Swift.

Hey Karen, dude is mistaken. Country music is not and was not the no 1 genre in America. It was rock and at the end of 2017 Neilson reported the rap/hiphop surpassed it and is still no 1.
