There are lots of people that aim to do that and only that with products like the Commander decks. To each their own but I personally buy products so I can play with them and enjoy the game. I'm not really that huge on EDH but I do enjoy just playing these decks before events fire up or between rounds to kill time.

Since you are doing unboxing of the new commander sets, I've been intrigued by the commander play style and am wondering could you perhaps make a tutorial for people with a basic knowledge of how to play magic how to play commander?

I can recommend the Colation Relic instead of the obelisk of Grixis. It actually ramps you which is a rarity in grixis colours I feel. A more budget version would be Darksteel Ingot which can also produce these 3 kinds of mana but is indestructible and thus strictly better.

If you sleeve the entire 100 card deck, it will not fit in the deck box that comes with each commander deck.

Awesome deck. Once I get it im going to be replacing temple bell with otherworld atlas (obviously for more card drawing) I think It will work really well with the "get lots of cards in everybodys hand" theme.

What I did with mind seize replace the cards with kicker abilities or cards that have flash back so that way all you cards are capable of being used. With flash back you can cast the spell the fist time then cast a second time for the flashback cost. After that you have to exile but when you're commander attack you may cast an exiled instant or sorcery for the exile pile. After cast it; it must return to a graveyard then you can repeat the cycle. I tried this a few gam end towards the begging of the game I can slow them down a bit while I ramp up. At that point I have a tone of instances and sorcerers. Then you can get your commander out without screwing you over on mana a ton of spells to back her over with. Idk if makes sense but it just seemed a fun idea to try out

great addition to this deck: add conspiracy and rooftop storm. then add as many eldrazi as you want, and use thraximundar as your commander. free 10/10's all day, and unlimited sacrifices for thrax.

A freind of mine swapper commender with nekusar, must say that zombie is ridiculous. He made us draw 7 cards everytime we casted a spell. Also he casted lilliana's caress.
And BOOM damage overflows.. Very great Deck.

@StereotypeLucas True-Name Nemesis isn't Modern Legal, and I'm pretty sure it was designed for Legacy in mind, along with other new ones like Unexpectedly Absent.

I'm thinking a mix of spells to put sorceries/instants you want to cast on top of your library (brainstorm) and spells that put spells you want to cast or permanents you want to get rid of on top of opponents' libraries (memory lapse, griptide)

Yeah, he's really awesome in Legacy and he's also a Merfolk so good for that haha. I'm starting to wonder if they're going to do to True-Name Nemesis what they did to Scavenging Ooze and eventually print it in a Core Set or expansion so that it finds its way into Modern and Standard. Then again, the power level of the two aren't really...equal haha.

I sleeved all my cards, except the commander, in penny sleeves, and all the cards still fit in the box, even the 3 oversized ones.

Diluvian primoridal, so you can cast one of the spells you exiled then stole with jeleva again, netting you some more value, as once you cast one of the exiled spells with jeleva they go to their owners graveyard rather than remain exiled.
