I know this might get buried in the comments, but why not build a kit car type thing and stick this engine in it?? From the floor up, brakes, steering, electrical systems etc...make it lightweight to get the most out of the power. Lotus 7 or caterham.

I enjoyed the Subaru rebuild. It was great to see how that engine ticks. Thanks again for another outstanding rebuild!!

It is soooo good to see you back on track, Davin! I was totally deperate and watched several rebuild videos (not only the time lapse videos, but the whole stories!) because I just miss a good rebuild video on a weekly base so much. Please rebuld another old lump of American cast iron. It is so interesting to see the old engines running smoothly after your cure.

Greets from Germany!

That was hilarious Davin when you hit the ignition cylinder with a pipe wrench. Savage, but I like it. Personally, I would not use a fram filter on a lawn tractor. I use only WIX.

Got my work done today. Changed my car’s tires and bolted the sump to my Fordson Major.

A racy BMW I6 would make for a super cool project, something like an S38 or an M88. Probably also a nightmare but I would watch those videos over and over

*Hello Ben!*
Davin, whatever you're doing with this show, I'll be here as long as you are.
I've been a Hagerty insurance customer for many years now, but you and Tom are why I started
watching and subscribing to their YT channel - and remain so today.
Heck, Ben even was kind enough to contact me recently, which is something rarely seen from
production companies of stuff on here, so props to him and the crew as well.
Stellar content, presented by great hosts, professionally produced.

Davin was the only thing keeping me subscribed to this channel...

Davin, Ben and Co. Where you at? Hoping the hiatus is for a big reveal on some projects you got!
Going to be gutted if I can't get my fix of Redline Rebuilds. Keep it going guys!

In the southwest we see lots of Subaru engines in sand rails. Would be really sweet to see a buggy or something built around the EJ build

I have always loved engines and been fascinated how they work, these videos are absolutely blissful to watch. Such skill and passion for doing a good job. It doesn’t get better than this, a fan from the UK

Never had a Subaru but always wanted to see how I would rebuild one since I have been interested in owning one. Thanks for the series.

Are you guys still doing redline rebuilds? I miss seeing them.

My personal favorite rebuild you have done so far, was the beautiful Buick straight eight. As for the Mini, my brother and I were both stationed in England. He used to say the early Minis were water soluble. Every time it rained; another part fell off!

You guys should do more videos in regards to what’s happening in the shop with body restorations! We love seeing both engine rebuild and the progress with what the rest of the shop is doing

Over the last year I built a Stage 1 Subaru engine supporting mods around the car, cost me around $25, 000. "Money, it's what makes Subaru a Subaru" is my new slogan for them.

The ej build has been my favorite so far, something I can relate to 👍

That crank align hone is a special thing on this series of engines. I got lucky and there was a shop in Fresno who did it using a special jig they made and a special set of stones afixed to a lathe. It was wild to see. They were also the only shop within 250 miles of me who had the narrow stones to do the main and rod journals. Wild stuff.

Thanks for the comment on Fram oil filters. I've been changing my own oil for 42 years now and have never used anything but Fram filters. Now with 2 sons driving, I do 4 cars a year. That's a lot of filters.
