Never seen anyone use a piece of cut glass as a scraping tool before. Clever idea. I love old screwdrivers and old hammers.

Love the peace of mind and clarity of thought that comes through restorative work. Excellent work brother.

I just read a book from the 1910s giving the tip to use glass as a scaper. Cool seeing you do it!

Worked with a older French Canadian carpenter when I was apprentice back in the seventies. I once saw him use a piece of glass as a cabinet scraper!! He would also sharpen his pocket knife on the bottom rim of old coffee cup.

Inspiring. I've watched about a dozen of your vids. I restore old PC laptops - NOTHING like what you do, but... it is satisfying to see the final project working as well as it did when it was new.

Love all of your foot and hand powered machines and tools. I am slowly getting a human powered option for all of my shop machines. I have about half of ehat I need as far as treadle power goes

Glass stripping!! I havent seen anyone use that since I was a kid. I had an old carpenter that lived by himself across the street from me growing up. He taught me every single thing I know about old school hand carpentry. The first project he ever gave me was stripping an old wooden stool. The onlt tools I was given was a box of broken glass and a glass cutter. Takes time to do (not to learn) but no chemicals is a really fair trade.

I like it better when it looks used.
Not like it belongs on a shelf or a display box

I have my late grandfather's court sword, which desperately needs restoration. I wish you'd do it.

I think the combination of new tools with old methods is fantastic. That treddle powered belt sander made me smile so much 😁

"Why do you watch so many videos of the same things over and over?"

"For the times when it isn't the same."

In this case, it was the scraper made of scrap glass.
