Holiday Plants for the Urban Gardener: Norfolk Island Pine

As an apartment dweller I do not have enough room for a large sized Christmas tree :( but I do have room for this beautiful plant called the Norfolk Island Pine Tree which closely resembles a Christmas Tree. This plant is native the the South Pacific around New Zealand and as such is not able to handle cold weather. But inside the home it is a very low maintenance house plant that can live for decades and looks great all year round. And during the holidays, just add a few ornaments and badaboom you have your own mini Christmas tree.

Love your channel. Would like to see video on Fiddle Leaf Fig, Crown of Thorns (euphorbia miili). I love the Hen & Chicks and also Burros Tails.

Can it be detrimental to put my Norfolk Island Pine in a big pot? I am having trouble with getting the watering right and suspect maybe the pot is too big. The leaves are getting crunchy but my water meter says the soil isn’t dry.
