The truth -:

Darke impulse is a curse which got transferred to Mikey because of Shinochiro. The source of this curse came from the old man whom the Shinochiro killed to save mikey. It's a separate thing and any character could have been invincible & deadly like mikey if they could've possesed this curse. If we not consider the curse ( dark impulse), Mikey and Izana are almost on the same spectrum with their own uniquenesses -:
- Izana's Undefeatble senses
- Mikey life-taking kick
I'll clarify Izana lost in a battle with Mikey because Mikey has good motives and Izana with evil motives. We all know good always wins over the bad. This is how takemitchy was nearly able to defeat evil Mikey in the end era.
