Kastking should be ashamed of themselves for steeling the FTB SHIMANO SYSTEM. That reel cost more than Shimano and the Shimano Curado BFS is a better built reel. Crazy Kastking thinks they are in the class of Shimano. They should stay in the "Affordable Innovation" catagory which is usually half the price of the big dogs.

$220 for a reel made in china with the cheapest "quality material" is not "top of the line". KK reels don't last more than a season if you actually fish frequently. If you fish a lot you're lucky enough to get it to last a whole season if you aren't doing maintenance on it every other month.

I have purchased three KK reels (not all cheap ones) and all three had to go back due to defects out of the box. If you have to, save your money and get a better reel. I will never buy another KK product.

A Curado BFS is 199. This thing is 219. Why the hell would anyone pick Kastking over Shimano? I get this thing is magnesium, but Kastking is the cheap Chinese OEM brand. They haven't earned the reputation yet. Trying to not just compete with Shimano, but demand a price premium, is absolutely hilarious.

Bought a Kast King reel about 4 yrs ago….2 days of fishing and it went into the garbage. 100% trash products. 🍺🍺
