Kacy Hill: Hollywood Angels Campaign - Fiorucci | Mother Model

Since the brand's inception, Fiorucci has supported new and up-and-coming talent by giving them a platform to express themselves and their individuality.
These talents include the likes of Madonna, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, who are now true icons. They came into the spotlight at Fiorucci’s iconic LA concept store in the 70’s, where the Fiorucci Angels inhabited the City of Angels. One memorable individual who became part of the Fiorucci family is Rod Stewart, who was photographed in his Fiorucci star arch logo tee by David Montgomery in 1975, an image which has become recognizable worldwide.
Drawing inspiration from this, Mother invited 6 talented creatives based in Los Angeles, to discuss what LA means to them, their experiences of Fiorucci and who their own Hollywood Angels are. It seemed only right to turn to Max Montgomery, David’s son, to capture these talents and future icons.
Meet Fiorucci’s Hollywood Angels...
Kacy Hill is a Phoenix born, Los Angeles based singer-songwriter. Kacy went viral in 2014 with her self-released single ‘Experience’. After being on the road with Kanye West for the Yeezus tour, she found herself signed to G.O.O.D. Music. In 2019, Kacy ended her deal with the label, she says cutting ties led her to soul searching through her music. In December of 2017, Hill connected with producer BJ Burton in Minneapolis, where they started laying the foundations of what would become Hill’s new record, 'Is It Selfish If We Talk About Me Again’. Out of the major label system, Hill has found her true voice. Kacy is releasing her new album this spring/summer.
"I love that LA can be whatever you want it to be. It’s huge and spread out with tons of different neighborhoods, so there’s something for everybody.”
"I wasn’t really interested in fashion or much pop culture growing up in Arizona, so my introduction to the fashion world came after I moved to LA when I was 18. I remember wandering through Opening Ceremony on La Cienega (RIP) and falling in love with a pair of Fiorucci jeans.”
