Hi Ivan, I’ve been using the same compost for a while now.
I griddle it, like yourself, but I’ve found that the resultant finer compost is very absorbent and prone to sitting damp and attracting mould, especially in a greenhouse or polytunnel where humidity can be higher.
By experimenting, I found that a mix of 4 parts griddled compost with 1 part perlite works very well indeed 👍

I was given very good San Marzano tomatoes by a neighbor and when he moved he left me some seeds
I will sow them now that you have reminded us that pretty soon they can be planted out in the warmer months.

I won't start my tomato seeds for another two weeks. Too early here. I've tried planting tomatoes this early and always had to replant so this year I'm waiting. I did get broccoli, swiss chard, pok choi, bak choi, and kale planted today.

I have just sown tomatoes last weekend, I am growing 48 verities which is so exciting to me! I will be growing them outside. At the moment, I they are under grow lights in a grow tent, alll heated. when the weather gets better i will move them to my unheated greenhouse but not for a while yet as its still rather cold! I dontt want to risk it after the heat popped off last year in my HEATED greenhouse and i lost everything!!!

I'm trialing Amish Paste tomato as they are apparantly really meaty, which is ideal for sauces etc

Love your videos. Have just sown Alicante and Mountain Merit (the latter supposedly blight and wilt resistant - we'll see!) When starting off seeds indoors, do you use a heated propagator? I'm trying not to use mine and and so have covered all with cling film. Am dubious about my peppers and basil!

Just signed up to your channel. What is the make and model of your water sprayer, it looks a lot more powerful than mine and one I could do with buying.

I'm going to be waiting until quite late to sow my tomatoes. I don't have a greenhouse (yet), and very limited indoor space (mostly taken up by peppers and onions), and I know how quick tomatoes can grow. I'm going to wait until maybe mid-late march to sow them, so they don't get too big inside the house.
Do tomato seed packets normally say if they are determinate or indeterminate? I have some cherry tomato seeds and they don't mention it.
